About Our Team

Dr. Cynthia Gordon-Wellington

Founder

“A silent cry, is heard throughout the land. A heart resigned, submissive, meek. Come quickly or, this life is vain. Yet underneath earth’s deepest sorrows, hope remains. And will I be, true to that call piercing my heart and filling me? There will I stand, true to that call. The Lord will carry me. Beyond the cry of illness, pain, we may in charity, bring sweeter rest. To those in need, lend helping hand. My aim, my vow, faith to my steps to render peace. And will I be, true to that call piercing my heart and filling me? There will I stand, true to that call. The Lord will carry me. This is my hope. To reach that cry. In strength, in unity.”

I wrote this song at the age of 21, with a classmate in medical school (Dr. Sasha Ho Farris Nyirabu) with whom I could often be found busking in the market square. We sat on the floor of her flat, heads together with a violin and a pencil until it was finished. We later performed the song at our White Coat Ceremony.

I had no idea where life would take me, but I have always known that serving humanity in the most basic ways, would be the heart of my work. What can be more basic than the understanding of self? I have always been interested in the stories that make us who we are, and people have always been interested in sharing their stories with me. I founded this practice to help you edit your story. To give you the confidence to change the ending.
